I love photographing outdoors we have some of the most beautiful countryside in the UK if not further afield and I am passionate about making the most of it, however the weather tends to be a little fickle so for those occasion’s and for little ones’ I have a dedicated home studio in Dumfries.

The studio is baby and child friendly and I have a lots of props available to enhance the session.  I also have tea and coffee on hand especially for new parents who are usually a little sleep deprived.

For certain sessions, particularly new born sessions the studio is kept warm, so I recommend Mum and Dad dressing in layers to allow them to be comfortable while I am photographing baby.  Each session is carefully planned and I always allow plenty of time during the session especially for babies and toddlers, who can be very shy and need time to come into their own where others can be just a little excited and need time to release this energy.  Which ever category your little one falls into we will work together to create some beautiful images for you.

One of the most commonly asked questions is ‘What should I wear?’  With this in mind I have started to create a pintrest board which you can find by clicking on the link on the home page which will allow you to see for yourself the kind of ideas I recommend.  I also know that being comfortable in front of the camera is very important so if you are used to dressing casually it might be best to forget the shirt and tie.  When you look at the images you have chosen you will remember the session and being comfortable and confident will help make the memory a great one.
