Your Session
Your newborn session is usually around 2-3 hours and completely baby led, allowing lots of time for cuddles, feeds while creating a gallery of beautiful images.
The session is tailored to your new family and home so once you have booked in we will discuss styling options and all finer details to ensure you love your final images. Parent, sibling and even pets can be included in the images at no additional cost.
I created my studio with you and your little one in mind. Located in Dumfries, my warm, welcoming space really feels like home: it is not only fully equipped for newborns, but also a comfy sofa for you to relax in and even enjoy a hot cuppa!!
After the session: Your gallery & products
After the photography session we will schedule your viewing and ordering appointment, this will usually take place at the studio about 14 days later.
Here you will view your final gallery of approximately 20 beautifully edited images and choose the best options for displaying them at home.
You will be able to choose from a selection of digital bundles (starting from £199), all inclusive collections (to keep your full gallery of images) and printed artwork.

The best time to photograph your newborn baby is when they are under 2 weeks of age.
With such a small window of opportunity, newborn sessions are one of the most precious I offer as your tiny baby will grow, change and develop so quickly!
To ensure we can capture those curly, sleepy poses at the best time, please contact me as soon as possible after your 20 week scan.
I am super excited to capture this moment for you and help create your first family memories!

While waiting for baby to arrive have you been thinking of a newborn photoshoot but unsure how it all works?
- By booking a slot in my diary I create, for you, a floating session, this guarentees you a newborn session with me once baby arrives.
- Baby may arrive a little earlier, or later than predicted but you don’t have to worry! Once baby arrives we will work together to find a date that is suitbale for you, baby and all the family.
- My studio is based on College Street, Dumfries and has lots of parking available. The studio has been designed with new mums in mind so you can sit back and relax while baby and I create beautiful images for you!
- My sessions are all baby led so they will decide how it plays out, if the need a feed or cuddles we have as long as they need.
- I offer a full money back guarentee – if you don’t love your images I will refund your session fee, in full. Allowing you to book the session with peace of mind.
