If you love the idea of professional photographs that still feel natural — with soft, true-to-life skin tones and no distracting editing — then I’m the right baby photographer for you. My aim is for you to have images on your walls that you’ll always look back on and simply see your beautiful baby… not whatever trend happened to be popular at the time.
Yes, I know I might sound a little old-fashioned — and honestly, that’s probably because I am! Timeless will always matter more to me than trendy.
During your session at my studio in Dumfries, you’ll see me take lots of photographs, and you’ll also see me — for want of a better word — “faff” with your baby. You might wonder why I don’t just get on with it! But every small adjustment has a purpose.
I might add a bonnet or a tieback, a carefully chosen wrap, or perhaps a tiny teddy. These pieces are selected to gently enhance the image, never overpower it, and they’re all specialist newborn props designed to fit your baby beautifully and safely.
I mentioned “faffing,” and I do — but only because I want to give you the very best images possible. I want you to see their tiny fingers, their delicate toes, and all the little details that, over time, become the blurriest in our memories. Those details are precious — and they deserve to be remembered.

Being an “old school” newborn photographer, I want your printed products to be as near to what you see when you look at your baby – that said there are certain things that I do edit like baby acne (yes, it is a thing but it’s not anything to worry about!), milk spots and flaky skin, but only on the face!
I am looking to create images of your baby that are the absolute best of them, images that when you look at them whether that is in a week, month or in years to come you will feel that jolt in the pit of your stomach as you remember them at their teeny tiny best.
